For the local organisation of the adventure, Exaequo Voyages works with Casamance Au Présent, an organisation committed to fair and responsible tourism.
Its mission is to showcase the authentic beauty of Casamance while respecting its people, traditions and ecosystems.
Through meaningful encounters, immersive activities and a strong commitment to creating a positive local impact, every traveller becomes part of a more responsible approach to tourism, built around sharing and authenticity.
🌍 A SOLIDARITY PROJECT IN SENEGAL
Part of the proceeds from the event is donated to the Futur au Présent association, which works in several regions of Senegal, including Ziguinchor, the capital of Casamance.
One of its main missions is child protection and education. Through its dedicated children’s centre, the association provides support and educational opportunities for young girls living in vulnerable circumstances.
💰 HELPING THE SOLIDARITY FUND GROW
More than €5,000 will be dedicated to the solidarity project, covering one year of support for 15 young girls through the association’s educational programme.
👉 You can also make an additional contribution directly to the association’s fundraising campaign:
Futur au Présent | HelloAsso
💡 Donations are eligible for a 66% tax deduction in France.
A tax receipt will be sent to you by email after the event.
🤲 MEETING THE ASSOCIATION IN CASAMANCE
During the trail-running week, participants will have the opportunity to meet the association and discover its work first-hand.
Participants will also be able to bring donated items or purchase useful supplies directly in Senegal.
💡 An online solidarity fundraising campaign will also be set up to support a specific local initiative.
👉 By joining this adventure, you’ll experience much more than a trip: a powerful human experience built around the values of sharing, respect and commitment.
❤️ WOULD YOU LIKE TO GET MORE INVOLVED?
🎒 BRINGING SCHOOL SUPPLIES: YES, BUT…
You can collect and bring:
- Notebooks
- Reusable water bottles
- Pencils, felt-tip pens and pens
- Backpacks
- Children’s clothing – summer or sportswear, from age 6 up to size M
👉 Please only bring second-hand items that are in good condition.
🚫 Please do not buy new supplies in France specifically to bring with you.
Why?
We want to encourage a positive local economic cycle: buying supplies in Senegal supports a local business first, before benefiting the school or organisation receiving the supplies.
Buying new items in France also means transporting them thousands of kilometres, creating an unnecessary environmental impact while providing no benefit to the local economy.

- THE SOLIDARITY PROJECT
-
🤝 THE FUTUR AU PRÉSENT ASSOCIATION
Futur au Présent | HelloAsso💡 Donations are eligible for a 66% tax deduction in France.
